Hydration Tips for Summer Running

Share

Stay hydrated in the heat and humidity. A good baseline is consuming 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water per day. For example, a runner weighing 150 lbs should drink about 75oz of water every day. However, training in the heat and humidity of the summer causes that to be increased significantly in order to stay properly hydrated. I use the CamelBak bottle or hydration belt during my summer runs. Train hard and stay hydrated.
